aus der Serie »Since I‘ve been gone«

„Since I’ve been gone“ is an ongoing series of photographs which approaches the concepts of memory and homesickness. The fact that I’ve been living away from my home city for the last 10 years has influenced my perception of it. This place which I still call ‘home’ actually isn’t home anymore, it has become a collection of memories.

The work intends to explore the displacement between reality and memory by revisiting and portraying a place which feels paused in time since the moment I left.

The remains of a golden time, covered in a greyish patina.

Born 1989 in Cádiz, Spain. Lives and works in Weimar.
